SwitchDin tech updates | 18 October 2022
Stormcloud:
New control types & devices have been added for SwitchDin’s optimisation engine: Inverter setpoints and relay control capabilities
Updated the control group scheduling functionality so that users can now program setpoints & priorities in VPP controls
Bug fix on default controller values
Droplets:
We’ve changed the LED pattern on our Droplet ONEs to reduce flashing.
From now on, only the last LED (‘Dev’) will flash to indicate that the Droplet is functioning properly. If flashing stops, this means there is a problem. The meaning of the other lights remains the same, but they no longer flash.
The bottom left shows the LED light arrangement when the Droplet is connected to the internet.
The bottom right video demonstrates the LEDs when the Droplet has no internet connection.
This change has already been rolled out to Droplet ONEs in the field, with the exception of some specific instances where a firewall is in place preventing software updates from taking place automatically.
Integration updates:
Tesla Megapack - Added Droplet hardware integration to our existing cloud API (Cloud Droplet) integration
Fronius, SolarEdge, Growatt and GoodWe integration improvements
